As the local grocer, Eric is 'Unfit but with a seedy rakish charm'. He is the nephew of Collingsworth Jenkins ('Collie') and uncle of Mandy. He was responsible for originally welcoming NBD to Pontycelwyddau, thinking the company would bring jobs to the struggling mining community.
