Director - Matt Lipsey
BAFTA winning Director, Matt Lipsey, is acknowledged as one of the leading comedy directors in Britain, working with some of the biggest names from the comedy fraternity. Having graduated from film school at the Royal College of Arts, Matt quickly gained a reputation as a great visual director and is also recognised as an actors' director too.
It is this combination that has led to many successful collaborations over the years with such UK and International luminaries as Steve Coogan ("Alan Partridge"), Matt Lucas and David Walliams ("Little Britain"), Reeves and Mortimer, Rob Brydon ("A Cock & Bull Story") and Julia Davies to name just a few.
His work with the boys from Little Britain has earned him a BAFTA and several nominations.
Over the last five years, Matt has had a close working relationship with Steve Coogan starting with Dr. Terrible's "House of Horrible" and culminating in the critical and commercial hit series "Saxondale".
Matt most recently directed Jimmy Nesbitt ("Bloody Sunday") in a new flagship drama series for BBC1: a modern adaptation of the "Jekyll & Hyde" and co-star, Michelle Ryan ("I Want Candy").
Matt has also worked with Bob Hoskins, Helena Bonham Carter, Neil Morrissey, Rowan Atkinson, Ronnie Corbett, Dawn French, Peter Kay, Tom Bell and Honor Blackman on a variety of projects.
